A mother's love
Asks no return,
Expects no reward...
A mother's love
Asks only to give.

Mother's Day is so hard for me now. I know I will always be Dennis's mom
but not being able to see or touch him or hear his sweet voice say
Happy Mother's Day Mom, I love you so much... It just tears my heart out.
I never knew just how much I would miss hearing that one word, Mama...

When Dennis was little and in child care he would make me things.
Then when he started school, he would always make something there to
give to me for Mother's Day.
After he got older and they no longer made little things at school for special occasions,
Dennis would always make a card or something...He never forgot.
He got so much pleasure out of giving...

I miss his gifts and his phone calls or his just stopping by.
When he had a little money he never would just buy a gift
it had to be something I could use or something that he knew I would really love.
Even if it just cost a dollar, he made sure it was something special.

Now, on Mother's Day, I take some time to get in a quiet place and listen,
because I know somewhere, somehow Dennis is still making those cards
and whispering I love you and I miss you Mama, Happy Mother's Day...
And I'm whispering right back, I love you and I miss you too Baby.

One day a year the time has come, for all Mother's to be as one,
A day we set aside for Mother's, for there will never be no others.

So strong, yet frail, yet warm not cold, a Love that continues when they get old,
A special day for the Mom's out there, yet for some Mom's life's a bear.

For those of you who have lost someone, know deep in their heart it can't be undone.
Their wish cannot be granted that day but maybe a tear will shed anyway.

The love and loss still lingers there, The grief and sorrow that you share,
To all those Mother's who weep that day, I pray that God will come your way,
To send an angel just to you, for he knows best and it's true.

So on this mother's day I wish, Peace and love with eternal bliss,
May your day be warm and bright, all aglow with God's pure light.

And when Mother's day does come to an end,
I will Pray once more and say Amen!

Mom
Mom, I hear you cry in the wee hours of the night, You do not sleep until almost light.
Your grief for me is so great it torments you so, that's no mist
How I wish there was a way, Mom, If I could, I'd take it away.

I can feel your love like never before it comes like a breeze seeping under a door.
Mom , please don't worry, everything is quite alright, many times I watch over you, all through the night.

So until we meet again, always remember this, I Love You Mom and I seal it with a kiss.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Mother's Day Wish From Heaven

Dear Mr. Hallmark,
I am writing to you from heaven, and though it must appear,
A rather strange idea, I see everything from here.
I just popped in to visit, your stores to find a card,
A card of love for my mother, as this day for her is hard.

There must be some mistake I thought, every card you could imagine,
Except I could not find a card, from a child who lives in Heaven.

She is still a mother too, no matter where I reside,
I had to leave, she understands, but oh the tears sheís cried.

I thought that if I wrote you, That you would come to know,
That though I live in Heaven now, I still love my mother so.
She talks with me, and dreams with me; We still share laughter too,
Memories our way of speaking now, Would you see what you can do?

My mother carries me in her heart, Her tears she hides from sight,
She writes poems to honor me, Sometimes far into the night.
She plants flowers in my garden, There my living memory dwells,
She writes to other grieving parents, Trying to ease their pain as well.

So you see Mr. Hallmark, Though I no longer live on earth,
I must find a way, To remind her of her wonderous worth.
She needs to be honored, And remembered too,
Just like the children of earth, Today will do.

Thank you Mr. Hallmark, I know that youíll do your best,
I have done all I can do; To you, Iíll leave the rest.
Find a way to tell her, How much she means to me,
Until I can do it for myself, When she joins me in eternity.

Today It Is Motherís Day

Today, it is Motherís Day a day to honor us
For the things we do all year to say I love you mother
Iím glad that youíre still here, a day of joy and happiness
To last you all day long, to laugh because we are together,
To sing those happy old songs.

But for a mother whoís had to give her child back
There is something that this day especially lacks
Like the longing, the heartache, the tears that she cries inside
For on this day it only reminds her of her child who has died
No more cards, no more kisses, no gifts, no flowers
Only the awareness of the days long, long hours.

She doesnít hear the voice as once she remembered
Only the silence, the stillness of everything thatís ended
Listening for the laughter that comes to her mind
Learning to remember how only Godís love
Will carry her through, till she reaches the other side.

So to all you motherís whose children are still here
Love them, cherish them so you will never have to hear
The voice of your child, whose life has disappeared
Yes we will learn to cherish those memories that live on inside
Sadness overcomes us, because we remember our child
The one who is not alive.
